WEST News - August 2025

Welcome to August and congratulations to our competitive swimmers, both Club and Recreation Teams on successful seasons and a job well done! Club Team finished in 10th place at 13 & Over Championships and 8th place at 12 & Under Championships. The WEST Summer Team finished in 5th place at NCSSL Championships and we have just one more full week of swim lessons and lap / open swim before closing down for our annual maintenance! 

As we reflect on this past year, we’ve had significant changes and invested heavily in our infrastructure. We had some amazing new staff join our team and took a hard look at how we do things to make significant improvements. As we enter the next annual season on 9/1, we look to solidify those changes and continue moving forward. 

Annual Maintenance Closure - Mon 8/18 through Mon 9/1 (Labor Day)

We will be closed for our annual maintenance 8/18-9/1 and reopen Tuesday 9/2 under our normal Fall Schedule (see bottom for details). This closure allows us to give some of our hard working staff along with doing all the little repairs that require things to stay dry for a period of time. High School girl’s swim season starts Mon 8/25 along with the older WEST Club Team groups while we continue to deep clean and prep the facility for the next year. 

New Website & Billing Platform - Captyn

You can check out the new website here: www.wca.captynsites.com. We have been transitioning since May to a new registration and billing system called Captyn. Most everyone should be familiar with them after receiving the billing issue from 8/1. We’ve corrected that issue and reversed all incorrect charges for 8/1 and will be switching over for 9/1. Keep an eye out for an email when the switch officially happens.
